2014 indoor season highlights
Gunnar Nixon has been training at one of the finest facilities for young track and field athletes in the US, the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, CA. State of the art facilities and top-notch coaches are here and Gunnar is pleased to have this opportunity, facilities, coaches and support.
His first competition of the 2014 Indoor season was Jan 31 - Feb 1 at the Ed Jacoby Multi Invitation at Boise State in Nampa, ID. His intent was to compete in a full heptathlon and get himself in the top 3 on the world leader board, a position which would qualify him to represent the US at the 2014 IAAF World Indoor Championships in Sopot, Poland in March.

2013 IAAF World championships
Luzhniki Stadium, Moscow Russia - August 10-18, 2013
Gunnar Nixon will be representing Team USA in the decathlon in the 2013 IAAF World Championships in Moscow August 10-11. His teammates in the decathlon are the current world record-holder and 2012 Olympic gold medalist Ashton Eaton, the 2011 World Champion Trey Hardee and Jeremy Taiwo, the 2013 NCAA runner-up and 2013 US Outdoors 3rd place finisher. 2013 USA Indoor Championships
Gunnar Nixon's first competition as a young pro track and field athlete was the 2013 USATF Indoor National Championships heptathlon which he won, at barely 20 years old.
